    Michigan Day

    Young 5 and Kindergarten students enjoyed a fun day of celebrating "Michigan Day" on Thursday, May 23 by playing games and doing activities related to Michigan.  Activities included:

    Made boats and "sailed" them!
    Made the Mackinaw Bridge!
    Made cars and spool cars!
    Made old fashioned paper dolls and clothing for the dolls!
    Ran the Lionel "freight" train filled with Michigan products!
    Played indoor games including:  Sorry, Rummy,  Pick-up Sticks & Jacks!
    Made a spinning button toy!

    Students also played outdoor games that included:  

    Kick the Can, Pitching Pennies, Marbles, Dock on a Rock and Rock Tag

    At the end of the day students made and enjoyed "Michigan" ice cream floats with Meijer Ice Cream, Faygo Pop and cherries!
