Hailey Verbeke (2^nd Grade – Morton) – “I would like to nominate Hailey Verbeke for the You Rock Award! Hailey goes above and beyond to do her best every day at school. I frequently point out Hailey’s behavior as a model for the class to follow. She has reached Outstanding (the top of our behavior Clip Chart) 17 times this year! Hailey is a wonderful friend to every student in our class. Just the other day, Hailey noticed a classmate was playing by themselves on the playground. She didn’t hesitate for a second to go over and ask them to play. Aside from her great behavior, Hailey is an excellent student. As a result of her dedication at school, Hailey is one of my most improved readers this year! Any teacher would be lucky to have Hailey in their class! Keep up the great work Hailey. Nicholas Lasky (Kindergarten – Washington) – “Nicholas has shown an amazing effort at trying to improve himself throughout the school year. When Nicholas first started school this year, he was struggling with appropriate school behaviors and with investing his energy in academics. He has worked very hard at learning what the school rules are, learning how his choices affect himself and classmates, and practicing making the changes that will benefit himself in his effort to improve himself. Nicholas has demonstrated a kind heart and will come to the aid of any person who seems to be in need of helps (child or adult). He will be the first to apologize if he accidentally makes a mistake and seems eager to “fix” whatever the problem may be. He also works to share his acquired “wisdom” if someone else makes a mistake and will share tips on how to “start again”. His outstanding effort has been good for him, but it has also provided many children in my room the opportunity to learn lessons of “try again”, “I can help” and “I’m sorry”. Emily Hong (4^th Grade – Gardens) “Emily is an outstanding 4^th grade student that always “Reaches for the stars” in whatever it is that she has to accomplish. She always goes above and beyond what is asked of her in the classroom and is an exemplary role-model for those around her. She is a kind and considerate young lady that is always willing to help others with a smile. Emily is the type of student that makes me, as a teacher, excited to teach every day! I love walking by her desk and seeing the diligent notes that she has written on topics we have discussed in class. She does this without even being asked to do so. Courtney Bieszczad (8^th Grade – Middle School) “Courtney always tries to do her best. When in labs, she takes the initiative and becomes a leader. As a student, her academics are awesome and have been that way for two straight years. More students can take a cue from Courtney on how to act and work hard. Courtney could be nominated every month for her dedication and her strive for excellence.” Nominated By: Mr. Schoenberg, Teacher

Meghan Hoffman (12^th Grade – High School) – “Meghan Hoffman is an exemplary student! She is a leader within the classroom and throughout Marysville High School. Meghan is organized, accurate and timely with her projects and schoolwork. She often looks to go beyond the minimum expectations set by her teachers. In fact, she recently entered a community safety video contest and won! More importantly and beyond the classroom, Meghan is an awesome young lady that consistently contributes to her family, school and community. Meghan has a very bright future and has clearly set her goals. I am very confident Meghan will continue to be successful at the next level.” Nominated By: Mr. Smith, Teacher
