Whole Student Focus (SEL-TRAILS) - At Marysville Middle School, we are committed to developing the whole student—academically, socially, and emotionally. Through our TRAILS implementation, we support students in developing the social-emotional skills needed to succeed in school and beyond.
Positive Behavior & Structured Support (PBIS & CHAMPS) - We utilize PBIS and CHAMPS as school-wide systems to create a consistent, positive, and structured learning environment where expectations are clear, and students are supported in making strong choices.
Student Centered Classrooms and Achievement - Our classrooms are designed to be student-centered, promoting engagement, ownership of learning, and critical thinking. This approach leads to increased participation and improved academic performance, including stronger test-taking abilities.
Academic Opportunities & Intervention (MTSS) - We offer a range of academic supports and challenges, including Honors classes and targeted interventions through our MTSS/Tiered support system. We are committed to meeting every student’s needs and helping them grow.
Support Staff and Learning Environment - Our dedicated support staff work alongside teachers to ensure every student has access to the resources and support they need to be successful in a safe and welcoming environment.
Extracurriculars & Athletics - Students at MMS have access to a wide variety of extracurricular activities and athletics that encourage involvement, leadership, and personal growth beyond the classroom.
Fine Arts and Creative Opportunities - We offer robust programming in musical theater, orchestra, band, choir, art, technology, innovations, and more—providing students with opportunities to explore their passions and express their creativity.
Family and Community Partnerships (PTO) - We value strong partnerships with families. Our PTO and parent involvement play a vital role in enhancing student experiences and supporting learning both inside and outside of school.
Collaboration and Professional Learning (PLCs) - Our staff works collaboratively through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and leadership teams to continuously improve instruction, share best practices, and ensure the success of every student.
